Sharona Ginsberg

School of Information Process Analyst

From September to December 2011, I worked on a team to provide a consultation and recommendations to our client, the University of Michigan's School of Information, regarding the improvement of their room scheduling process.

My team engaged in contextual inquiry, meeting with school staff members to interview them about their work and to observe their participation in the process. During team meetings, we continued our process analysis by interpreting interview data and by creating models for visual representation of our findings.

At the end of the project, my team prepared a comprehensive report and presentation outlining our findings and providing our recommendations for improving the process, including details about implementation strategies. The client was pleased with our solutions and asked us to give an additional presentation to a larger team of people so they could begin to carry out many of our suggestions.
